On 18 February 2026, the Synchrotron Light Research Institute (Public Organization) (SLRI), under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Thai Tohken Thermo Company Limited, a metal coating service provider, at SLRI in Nakhon Ratchasima.

This partnership aims to strengthen research and development in synchrotron light and related technologies, including support for analytical testing, training, technology transfer, and human resource development.

Mr. Hiroshi Okuda, Managing Director of Thai Tohken Thermo Company Limited, expressed his expectation that the knowledge and expertise transferred from SLRI will enable the company to expand its metal coating applications beyond the automotive and medical industries into other industrial sectors.
