AWSAXS2019

The ASEAN Workshop on Small Angle X-ray Scattering (AWSAXS2019) targets scientists, researchers, lecturers, postdocs and PhD students who are interested in determination of protein structure in solution. We aim to provide a comprehensive coverage at the field including the basics of small angle scattering, sample preparation and characterization. The ab initio method which provides the molecular shape at low resolution is also discussed as well as hybrid atomistic modelling. Apart from lectures in this workshop, we prepare the hand-on tutorial of BioSAXS data analysis for the participants.

Moreover, the invited speakers will share their experience in applying BioSAXS to biological research at EMBL, the Australian Synchrotron, and the SLRI.

Registration fee

- Thai/ASEAN researcher or lecturer: 2,000THB

- Thai/ASEAN student: 1,000THB

The registration fee includes workshop materials, breaks, lunches and dinners.

Payment method will be posted after the announcement of acceptance.

Financial support

In order to promote mobility of talented scientists in ASEAN countries, up to 10 financial supports in total for Thai and ASEAN participants covering local transportation, accommodation and registration fee exemption are available.
Travel grants for selected participants from ASEAN countries will cover local travel expenses from their hometown and round-trip airfare from their home country to Thailand which can be refunded upon the presence of original receipts and will not exceed 10,000THB in total.
Applicants who wish to apply for the financial support must submit their financial support application form along with their online registration form.
